Hello Friends and welcome to May's journey of Plein Air 365™
Can you believe spring is over and were already into the first week of summer. But before I get ahead of myself, may I share my spring with you. May started the same way as it ended with a celebration and admiration to the cost of freedom. I actually started the month by painting the most wonderful pinks and reds of the crabapple trees, they were just vivid! Then came the first celebration of freedom for Cinco de Mayo and a painting I call "Celebrating The Fight For Freedom", a 16 x 20" Alla Prima Plein Air Still Life. Then it was back to the spring flowers and lilac bushes. I find that the colors just draw me in, along with the thought that I need to paint as many flowers before they are all gone for the year.
