| "Lighting The Way To Freedom" was inspired after I watched it created by the guys of American Chopper. While I was watching the show I couldn't help but think of my Great Grandpa and his journey across the Atlantic and coming to his new home, the land of opportunity where anything is possible. I remembered him talking about his ship and seeing the Statue of Liberty for the first time and how excited he was for what lay ahead. My Great Grandpa worked in a steel mill and when the bike went in to get plated that also reminded me of him, so this painting is also a dedication to him as well. If you look at the right side of the painting you will see a old sail ship coming out of a storm cloud, but it is being led by the light of Lady Liberty. I used a New York skyline during that signifies that time. The Statue of Liberty Bike is watching on as well as Lighting the Way To Freedom. | |||
